🌱 Plant Size, Classification & Grower Choice Policy
Caribbean Orchids
At Caribbean Orchids, we work exclusively with professionally cultivated live orchids. To ensure transparency and clear expectations, we have established the following policy regarding plant sizes, classifications, and grower selection.
🌱 Plant Size Classification
Seedling
Young plants in an early stage of growth.
Not in bloom and may take months or years to flower.
Naturally smaller in size.
Ideal for growers, collectors, and customers who enjoy developing plants from an early stage.
A smaller plant size does not indicate poor quality—it reflects a normal growth stage.
Blooming Size
Mature plants with the capacity to bloom during their appropriate season.
Blooming size does not guarantee flowers at the time of delivery, unless explicitly stated as “in bloom.”
Pricing reflects plant maturity and development.
🌿 Grower Choice
Grower Choice means that the specific plant selection is made by the grower, within the purchased category (Seedling or Blooming Size).
Does not include selection by exact size, number of spikes, buds, or flowers.
Does not guarantee plants in bloom.
This option is not available for general purchases.
⭐ Insider Program
The Grower Choice benefit is available exclusively to active members of the Insider Program.
Insider Program members may receive:
Access to special selections
Exclusive benefits
Priority access to limited availability plants
Customers who are not part of the Insider Program must select plants directly through our online store, where all products are clearly classified.
🌺 Breeders & Special Collections
Plants sourced from specialized breeders, such as Liouling Orchids, are considered special collection plants.
These plants do not follow standard market pricing.
Their value is based on genetics, exclusivity, and breeder reputation.
In certain cases, Blooming Size plants may be offered as an exception, which will be clearly stated in the product description.
📌 Realistic Customer Expectations
Before purchasing, customers should understand that:
Not all orchids are sold in bloom.
Growth, size, and flowering depend on genetics, cultivation, environment, and time.
Purchasing an orchid is a cultivation experience, not an instant-flower product.
By placing an order with Caribbean Orchids, customers acknowledge and accept these classifications and conditions.
